Siteman Cancer Center Announces New Brain Tumor Center

Siteman Cancer Center at Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes-Jewish Hospital (St. Louis, MO) announced the establishment of a Brain Tumor Center housing “a multidisciplinary practice of physicians and scientists whose mission is to provide leading-edge, patient-centric care for brain tumor patients while also developing transformative basic, translational and clinical research to develop new therapies and improve patient outcomes.”

A new building is currently in construction to house the center and the members of the neurosurgery, radiation oncology, pathology, immunology, otolaryngology, neurology, radiology and endocrinology departments. Neurosurgeon and scientist Albert H. Kim, MD, PhD has been appointed as the inaugural director.

Siteman Cancer Center has been a longtime supporter of the Head for the Cure Foundation and is the local beneficiary for the Annual Head for the Cure 5K – St. Louis.
