Head for the Cure Partner Spotlight: Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care

Head for the Cure and Brains for the Cure is proud to partner with world-renowned hospitals and organizations across the country as beneficiary partners for Head for the Cure’s 5K run/walks. A portion of funds raised from each 5K event goes back towards these partners to assist with clinical trials, research, and patient programs. One of these incredible partners is Solace House, a hospice facility in Kansas City, MO.

The list of hospices in Kansas City is long, but there’s only one Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care. They’re the KC area’s most experienced hospice with the broadest range of programs and services. They offer compassionate care beginning before end-of-life care is needed with palliative home health care and innovative programs that go far beyond cancer care and hospice at home. They are glad to help you understand palliative vs hospice care and the right time to implement it.

This type of care isn’t easy and is often needed at the hardest moments. Solace House makes it easier for families to get the care they need for their loved one before and after they pass. They also offer grief support groups in various capacities to assist those of any age. Here’s a list of more items they offer:

  • Solace House grief support groups and mental health counseling
  • Carousel Pediatric Care
  • Community and physician education
  • Care for those without financial resources
